Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tell me about Bonneval-sur-Arc...!

Off to Tignes/Val D'Isere at the end of February and have heard a lot of reports about Bonneval-sur-Arc being a 'must-do' daytrip. In particular descending from the top of Le Fornet. Can anybody tell me anything more...! I.E. How far is it from Tignes, can you swap a day on your lift pass etc etc.

Thanks in advance

bullet,
The skiing down the back from Le Fornet is good it is mainly south facing so the snow may not be easy, though with spring snow it can be fantastic. Bonneval is a lovely little resort with a fairly small but high ski area. In winter it is a very long way by car from Tignes/Val d'I as the col d'Iseran is closed. Return is usually by helicopter and in order to get back in time you may not bet much skiing at Bonneval though you have to buy a lift pass as the pick up is up the mountain.
Not cheap to do and no reduction on your lift pass.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Sssh, Keep it quiet.

Very enjoyable resort for a day, not sure about the trip from Tignes/Val D, guessing the taxi back (heli) may be a bit pricey
