Bring yer hiking boots or mt. bike cuz its warm and dry. I just got back from the dachstein and it was cold but there is really no snow. I went on a hike todaz and made it to 2000 meters. There was just the slightest dusting of snow. If you have a vacation bring your hiking boots or mountain bike instead of skiis.

Guess we'll be skiing Mid-may as the season appears to 'ave started a tad slower.

I got back from Schladming on Saturday (Ski Amade area including Dachstein).
The snow on the lower runs of Planai was poor but above mid station it was not too bad.
There was enough snow to still have a great time skiing.
Leave your hiking boots at home and take your skis.
