Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi,

Most runs in Bad Hofgastien were open and after the snow showers on Friday morning the piste conditions were pretty good higher up. The lower slopes are a bit patchy although the run down to the Schlossalm was still open. Went up to Sportgastein today and conditions were excellent!

Is the excellent conditions mean fresh powder snow or a few "well groomed pistes"?

Maybe I should have been clearer. Sorry bout that I just got back last night and was a little tired.

Pistes were well groomed and there was around 15cm of neuer Schnee. Wasn't very windy with very good visibility. It was also very quiet. Later on the lower slopes iced up a little particularly the black. Although the forecast had originally said the FL would be 3000m I wouldn't say the conditions became at all wet.

Considering the conditions recently here it was a very good day skiing.
