Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I was planing on fitting in a sneaky weeks ski trip in on the first week on Feb however looking at the ski club of GB snow overview it looks like i'd be wasting my time, not to mention money booking a trip now? Seems that everywhere is either Ice or Slush or worse still grass Shocked

So where is all the snow? Whats's going on, I went to Cervinia at Xmas and the conditions were great snowHead

Any tips?

And in first week of Jan, and I suspect now, and also in first week of Feb. You could do Zermatt, for a bit of a change!

The_Mac_Daddy, higher resorts seem to be best, as they haven't experienced the rain that lower resorts have. Tignes seems good at the present as do places like Les Arcs, La Plagne, Les Deux Alpes

I've just come back from a week in La Plagne (stayed in Belle Plagne) and skiied in Les Arc for a day as well. We had a huge dump on our second day so the skiing was great for the week. The first day was warm and the snow was really slushy andheavy. On the second morning it was sleet, but then the temperature dropped and it snowed in buckets - over 1 foot in most places, up to 2 feet in some. I think its temperature that's going to be an issue for the snow to remain, but I can highly recommend Belle Plagne as a place to stay and its virtually all ski-in ski-out accommodation with a massive ski area, and also Les Arc as its great motorway skiing with a mix of tree lined and open piste.
