Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I paid for a one hour private lesson for my GF at the Snowdome. It was £70. I thought that it was a bit steep, but when I saw how much she progressed in one hour compared to the group lesson going on at the same time I felt that it was worth the extra. By the end she was snowploughing from top to bottom, the group lesson was still sidestepping 10m up from the bottom and then snowploughing down. Shocked

Not really. Market forces in play here.

You can have up to 5 in your "private" session, so CAN$600 for 5 people is a bargian. And anyways, the clients around me think nothing of having 3 private instructors, one for each kid. Or booking me for the entire day to go shopping with, or being a tour guide.

Full day is 9 till 3.

Is shopping particularly challenging in Whistler? Is there scope for shopping-only guides? I can think of one or two friends who could do that (fortunately not family members, although the daughter might be ready in few years).

Had this debate a while back:

In the end, I paid 35 euros an hour for private lessons. Well worth it!
