Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Thinking of trying something a bit different later in the season - a short road trip to little known places - and this looked like a good place to use as a base. Has anyone been there? If so, really interested in hearing about your experiences.

Had some really good days out at Valfrejus over the last few years. Small resort ideal for a few days,(but other options in the valley to visit to make a week up), Good variety of skiing available, can be a little exposed if the weather is bad. (Couple of seasons ago it was something stupid like -32 with the wind, couldn't ski down a red run unless in a tuck - wind was blowing people back up the slope)

Had one of my best days of last season in Valfrejus after a reasonable dump, nicked Spyderjon's new ski's and went for a blast in the powder, the visibility was that bad couldn't see a thing - following a young lady down by sound alone, just two people laughing their heads off. Very Happy

Took a trip over to Valfrejus when on a trip to Bardonnechia a year last Easter. Only went for the day but a great day. I cannot imagine spending a week there though as seemed to ski the majority of it in the day. Saying that, a couple of massive black runs and some really fast reds meant that I enjoyed it. The views from the top were terrific and, after the total lack of snow in Italy that time, made a real cracking day out.
