Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I was wondering if anyone could make recomendations on good ski schools in Morzine. After my enquiries, I have narrowed it down to either the Snow School, or the BASS. Does anyone have any experience of either?

, Sorry, no. But welcome to snowHeads anyway and I'm sure someone will have.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The Snow School is brand new this year and is an off-shoot of the ESF. ESF Morzine are trying really hard to innovate by setting up The Snow School - smaller class sizes and instructors with a good command of English. The word is that they've got good instructors, but ironically - even though ESF have hired some BASI qualified instructors this year with the specific intention of using them with The Snow School - in the end the regulations have meant that there aren't any native English speaking teachers in The Snow School.
I've used BASS previously and am currently training for my BASI 3 with them. I think they're very good.
An alternative, if you are looking for private lessons, might be to book a lesson through the ESF with one of their BASI qualified instructors. I have some names if you want to send me a PM.

Thanks for that, that's a great help!
Although now i'm thinking it might be better to have ski school in Avoriaz rather than Morzine as it's a bit higher up. Do you think that's worth thinking about, as I think the BASS use pleney runs for their beginners classes which look terrible at the moment!
