Poster: A snowHead

Ontario’s largest ski resort – Blue Mountain - has laid off 1,300 workers after shutting its ski operations half way through the winter season. It is the first time in the resort’s 65-year history that it has closed early. The laid-off workers, who are full-time seasonal workers and year-round part-time employees, have been told their services won’t be needed for three weeks. However, they will be called back earlier if the weather turns cold and snowmaking operations can start up again....The resort has had spells of unseasonably warm weather in past winters, but until this year has always had enough snow to stay open.

A sadly interesting story on the evening news, last night.
Cross-country skiing teams are using Blue to train. Local X-country trails are totally barren of snow. And skate-skiing "up" Blue is great physical training !! Hey,, at least someone is getting some use out of the hill.
btw,, anyone want to buy an '07 5x7 pass,,, brand new,,,,
