Yep. Harder (and faster) than you think (think hard enough that, if you were rubbing your hands together the skin would noticeably heat up) . Scrape the cork off on the ski edges when it glazes/fills up, you want the most friction possible. You're looking for a smooth iridescent sheen with no hint of crayonlike wax marks.

spyderjon, can you tell me how much the Dominator Zoom Base Prep wax is please mate and will it be a good wax for my salomon 1080's? i'l be wanting the dvd you do aswell so how do i go about ordering it? and what angle should i have on my edges (1080's) i'v read that i should have 1/2, is this correct, thought id better ask you seeing as your a SKI SERVICING GOD

The Dominator Zoom Base Renew product is great base prep wax but it is a prep wax only & after use you then have to apply your final wax coat, say Dominator Zoom Universal.
1,2 will be fine for your 1080's.
