Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

South of Zurich

I'm skiing in Braunwald a very small resort about 60 miles south of Zurich. I arrived on Sunday to green slopes (one lift open), 9 degrees and was immediatly not expecting to ski all week, it looked dire but yesterday the wind blew hard and last night we had around 12cm of new snow and its not stopped all day. I visited Flumserberg today to meet a mate and it was extremely snowy but with lots of wind blowing all the new snow off until after lunch when the wind settled a little, the snow was building nicely when I left around 4pm, it snowed down to the valley floor tonight on the way back and is still continuing. Skiing should be the best of the season so far tomorrow for most places around here. Very Happy Very Happy

Ray Zorro, The Belle Vue is fab, my children love it, I have met a lady who has been coming here for 45 years, its chocka with children this week and the sliding has been going none stop(the indoor one). The cow's great it was only today it mooed as they milked it as I think they forgot to plug it in the first day, splendid, made me smile all over again like it was a new thing. From the snow conditions on the first day I thought this was going to be a swimming (pool) holiday but the electric cab could not make it up the hill to the hotel for snow tonight at 5pm when we got back from Flums - cool. thanks for the recomendation and for not telling me too much about it in advance (but enough to get me to book) Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

jedster, not really. If you want a mellower sunnier experience than Titlis in Engelberg switch to the Brunni side.

nessy,

thanks - I was just testing whether it was in the same general area to see whether Frosty's weather was likely to be hitting Engelberg. We're only going to be there for three skiing days and it's the first trip of he season so I don't think mellowness will be a priority Twisted Evil

jedster, I see. The weather will be generally the same but the snowfalls might differ a lot. Braunwald and Flumserberg sit in a snow pocket and frequently get more snow than the higher Graubuenden resorts. (Although in the paper yesterday I saw that Klosters got 80cm on the 2nd and another 30cm the night following). Engelberg also normally attracts a lot of snow.
