Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Surfanic clothing

Hi peeps, I just I would say that I have bought my 7 yr old some new gear through TX MAXX. I noticed the other day that both the mittens and salopettes I picked out for her were by a company called Surfanic. I'm keen on things that seem like that they will do as intended, and have to say that, although she hasn't used them in the snow yet, I am quite impressed by their quality and thickness. I will look out for the name again. I just thought this might be useful info if any other newby goes shopping. Has anyone else ever used their gear in anger and could comment on its performance?

Hi Megamum, - I have some Surfanic salopettes and have worn them for the past 3 seasons. Very impressed with the quality, warmth, waterfproofness (is this a word?) in all conditions and low temps. All round very good value, I think they were £30

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Last year, my sallopettes and jacket were hired and were both Surfanic. I'm not an expert but I thought they were fine, certainly kept out the strong wind we got caught in a couple of times. I would have bought them but I just happened to get other ones in the sale (Columbia & Dare2Be). I haven't tried the ones I bought yet so can't compare actual performance but they feel just a little less bulky.
