Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Last minute plea for help!
I've been searching the forum since 6.30am and can't find the thread that I remember reading about what you can and can't pack in a ski bag.
We are flying with BA from LHR to GVA - can I pack clothes, fleeces etc around the skis to protect them or am I only allowed to put the skis in the bag? The BA site says that each bag has a weight limit of 23kg so that would suggest that I can.......but I really don't want to get to the airport and have to reorganise the luggage
Can anyone help?

i have packed towels in a ski bag previously to protect the skis and allsorts of other bits and not had problems......maybe just ring the airline and get them to confirm. ALSO remember to take the details of who you spoke to and a direct extension number incase you encounter problems at check-in.
Enjoy your skiing!
David
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, I think
this may be the thread
you were looking for. I don't know about BA - but some airlines are taking a pretty firm line about what goes into sports equipment bags. Good luck.

Over the summer i flew to geneva with Easy Jet (outbound) and BA (business class inbound)
Both directions my ski bag contained a fair amount of my clothing (particually towels, salopets, socks and fancy dress) to try and keep the wait of my main bag down. Both airlines didnt seem to have a problem with this.
