Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Methane Powder

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Titan, one of Saturn's moons, has mountains on it blanketed in clouds and covered in methane snow. Methane is far lighter than our water snow, it's half the weight of air... Imagine the face shots in methane powder. mmMMMMmmmMMMmmmmMMMmmmmmm

I just head a news announcement about it but a quick goggle shows that scientists have known about it since 2000.

How far is Saturn? Anyone up for a trip this summer? With less gravity would it be possible to ski on windsurf boards? On each foot. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

parlor, I'd wait until nearer the time for a snow report, before booking anything. Universe warming will make the snow arrive later each season wink Toofy Grin

I'd be up for it but as usual Easyjet are slow in getting their LTN-STN-TTN service schedule online and I fear it will have gone through the roof for the weeks I'd be interested in by the time I get round to it.

Maybe next year.

We have a problem because the only week we can take clashes with the school holidays of Saturn itself and several of its moons.

I hope it's one of those no smoking resorts. I can just imagine Pierre setting off with a Gauloise hanging out his top lip as he hits that first bit of powder. Shocked

D G Orf, You 'Southern softees' are always complaining about a bit of cold. We don't bother putting a vest on up here until its well below -30C. Toofy Grin
