Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Yes me. At least its looking snowy now.

I'll be telemarking, which may well make me stand out, probably in a yellow and black jacket. In fact I'll look remarkably like the person on the T bar in the picture from Firstracks on this thread Smile :

We'll be there from boxing day to new years day. Metcheck is looking good if the snow survives the next 48hrs of warm I think it could be OK...I'll be boarding that week, red K2 board & orange rucsack, and the other half will be skiing in blue plus a cream hat I just bought her for her birthday!

Looking at the Meteo this morning, it looks like there is an inversion at the moment with the summits just below zero and the valleys well below zero, should be good gfor maintianing the thin snow in the valleys.

I'll keep an eye out for you Smile

Sorry Folks internet has been on the blink. We are staying at the Alpen Rose Hotel in Arabba so if you fancy hooking up for a ski let me know. Just spoke to a friend of mine out there and they are making snow like crazy, so conditions should be ok.

Just back from Arabba - bit of an epic to get there courtesy of BA. In the end, three days before we were due to fly via Heathrow, we booked a Ryan air flight to bergamo for the Friday ( a day earlier than planned) a night in a hotel in bergamo and changed the hire car pick up. Good job we did as the Aberdeen to heathrow flight was cancelled. Should get our money back though which sjhould cover the cost of the extar flights and hotel.

Conditions in the dolomites weren't bad considering - most slopes were open by the end of the week. Snow was thin, but due to the cold conditions the resorts were running snowmaking every night to top the runs up. Weather was sunny all week and the skiing was pretty good.
