Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

st anton - ischgl is it a feasable journey?

 Poster: A snowHead

We are due to go to st anton on Friday for a week. Looking at all the current reports it looks as though there may be a bit of skiing available at lech/zurs/st anton but I think we need a contingency plan. Previous snowhead threads suggest there is quite a bit open at ischgl - does anyone have any idea how straightforward the journey is from st anton. Is there a train/bus route or would we have to hire a car or is it a non starter? Any advice gratefully received.

Hi loatie, we're in exactly the same boat! Not very much open in St Anton - just enough to stop punters from invoking cancellation claims, I reckon. So looking forward to reading any responses here.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It takes about 1 hour to go from St ANton to Ischgl by car.

By train you have to go to Landeck then catch the Bus up the valley to Ischgl around 1 hr 20mins.

St Anton will have alot more open by next weekend. THey are preserving what they have for the Xmas holidays.
Its going to be cold so they will have the snow cannons on 24*7 . It only takes 3 days to cover all pistes where they have snow making top to bottom.
