Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

What is is like at the moment? Looking at the webcam it does not look normal. Incidentaly the webcam is positioned on the same building as our place. So it gives you a partial view from the balcony. Roll on Xmas, for Norway (poor snow at the moment Crying or Very sad ) and January for the PDS. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Avoriaz didn't open yesterday but we had some skiing in Les Gets. Avoriaz now opening on Wednesday. More snow due at the weekend and into the following week. Very cold in Morzine this morning so hopefully they were running the cannons last night. Not looking too bad for the 1st week of December!

Avoriaz/Les Gets/Morzine always goes a bit green/brown half way through December, certainly at lower areas (or at least that's what I recall from my annual webcam watching ritual). I've been on the verge of cancelling at New Year before now, because the rain started to wash awy the snow, but then it snowed almost every day of our ski trip in the 1st full week after NewYr. My forecast looked a bit dry for the foreseeable future, but lets hope there is more snow (I need a decent dump scheduled for mid-Jan please).

I was doing a 1st Aid Course in Les Gets this weekend. It was snowing heavilly Friaday night, and off and on Saturday. It looked very nice on Sunday in the sunshine. We could see a few bods skiing across the way as we rolled around in the snow practicising accident scenarios.

A great weekend for snow in the Alps!
