Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Night Skiing in Les Menuires

Does anyone know if there is night skiing available in Les Menuires and if so, do you have any details? I seem to be finding mixed opinions on the net. Also, I'm led to believe that the 3V area is expensive, so how expensive is "expensive" and does this apply to Les Menuires? e.g. what would you pay for a pizza dinner or a beer or something. Puzzled Thanks Laughing

There was no night skiing in LM when I was there last year and I saw no mention of it in this year's brochure. On the other hand while far from pretty, LM is probably the cheapest base in the 3V, you'll get a pint and a pizza dinner for around 15 Euros, the lift system puts the whole of the 3V in easy reach and the local skiing on La Masse is great (uncrowded) fun.

There is a floodlit rubber ring slope butnow skiing AIR. Les Menuires is a great base.

thanks! that's a pity, I originally hadn't though there was night skiing there but i saw it on 2 websites yesterday so was getting my hopes up. oh well, i'm sure i'll have enough to keep me busy anyway

There used to be nightskiiing in the Bruyeres area of Les Menuires but I don't know if they still do it.
