Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Naughtiness, or oversight?

On the Ski Club snow reports, for Val d'Isere the snow report makes for pretty glum reading at the moment. However, when a quick glance at the thumbnail of the webcam is very reassuring, as it shows really good snow cover on a lovely day.

When you click through on the image, the reason becomes clear, it's an image from April 17th last season! Now, I'm pretty sure that this has only appeared in the past days, and can only speculate as to why a picture that at a quick glance makes conditions look pretty good, but is six months out of date, is being shown? Puzzled

halfhand, strange as it may seem, the SCGB does not run their own system of webcams throughout the world's ski resorts. In this case it is a link to the main Valdinet.com link looking at the Face black running into ValD - which will probably be the main link they keep throughout the season. It's www.valdinet.com that's showing the webcam shot from April. rolling eyes (the other webcams seem to be mainly showing raindrops on the lenses)

That webcam for Val d'Isere has been showing or hyperlinked on several sites for month. Nice reminder of how good end-season conditions were last year.
