Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

No snow, no mountains, no ski lifts, just concrete and metal...

...is this the most brutal ski environment ever conceived?

Is this the future of skiing?

I'm doubtful he's have much of a future if he continues skiing on concrete with his helmet strap undone Skullie

An interesting article from skimag.com as the Americans review the options for skiing on surfaces other than snow. Scroll down for a section on street skiing. 0-50 mph in 6 seconds. Scary stuff indeed.

DarkSummer, I've heard about that in the UK, people skiing down huge mounds of coal/dust, shingle etc. Apparently it has to be wet to be best but you get very dirty, especially if you fall. Think i'll stick to my few days in the Alps and the odd excursion to MK etc.

Dan, I think getting dirty would be the last thing on your mind if you fell. I seem to recall there being quite a few nasty injuries from it.

Skiing over lots of little stones at Whistler last year (due to it not snowing for ages) was bad enough, never mind a quarry!! Smile

No it's not. It's a left-over apple core, an illegal firearm, a piece of sandpaper and a miniature replica snowboard.

If this constitutes a 'still life', or some sort of statement, then I'm a dissected shark.

David Goldsmith, how can a key ring be an illegal firearm?

David Goldsmith, I second WTFH's comment, it's a key ring Laughing , in addition even if it were real it would only be illegal in the UK, elsewhere in the world, where people are not so influenced by the press and incompetant politicians it may well be legal
