Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Long Ski Trip

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

I'm off on my first ever long ski-trip this year - 6 weeks in total! We're going to the following resorts:

Val Thorens - 2 weeks over Xmas at Le Portillo
Zermatt - 2 weeks in Jan at Chalet Abacus (near the Matterhorn lift)
Veysonnaz - 1 week in Jan in an apartment near the Hotel Chalet Royal
Courchevel 1650 - 1 week at The Portetta

We've been to The Portetta several times, so know what to expect. Anyone have any comments on the other resorts or maybe stayed in the same accomodation?

Also any tips on not getting ski burn-out appreciated! Very Happy

nuttyprofessor, we stayed in Le Portillo a couple of times, good location and a nice hotel. Evening meal tends to be a lengthy affair, particularly if you tend to start early. I like Val Thorens, but I've only ever been there at Easter. There's just so much skiing! I've put a report in the resort reports section...

Enjoy your tour! snowHead

nuttyprofessor, I would suggest that you have one day off every week, and ski a few half days.

Many thanks for all the replies! We are mainly staying in apartments so hopefully won't break the bank too much Very Happy We're bound to get snow (hopefully!) during the 6 weeks so that will force us to take a rest...

Take a rest because there's snow Puzzled

I went out for 1 month last winter, and skied every day (including the days that I drove from Austria to Switzerland and from Switz to France!!)
