Snow Reports
FAQ
Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

, no, it's not a big time commitment, but a useful way to round off each day. There's still plenty of drinking time left in the evening
Phew!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I was on the same course as rob@rar, although not in such an exalted group, although Mr Docsquid was in the same group as rob. I can assure you he wasn't over-estimating the size of the snowfall
For those on their way to Tignes/Val D'Isere this week, it was possible to ski down from the glacier to Val Claret on Friday, although the snow cover was poor. Most of my group did this, but I didn't because my bad knee hurt after the end of week GS race. It was also just possible to ski down the little path to the funicular in the mornings although it had turned mild by Friday, and so the cover was poor and I didn't do it on my own skis as there were little stones just under the surface.
A good trip. I'll add my perspectives to rob's once he posts his take on the week's skiing. I'm still very tired!

Metcheck is currently forecasting a drop in temps towards the end of next week with a large dump on Sunday - could be a fun first day skiing!
Woohoooo!

Renry,
Intersport in le Lac are advertising 6 days ski hire for 100 to 150 euros. I guess this will be a good inication of what the prices will be through the resort.
