frostie1861, The NHS type from Boots are very good, stiff yet slightly flexible, not too long so they'll break your forearms with transitional forces. Compact, inexpensive and washable. Only prob is that they come in surgical stocking beige or royal blue.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've got the dakine ones and they are very good. Comfy, not too intrusive and fit nicely under my gloves......and they come in stylish grey and black
I was always anti wrist guards but got bought these and used them to see what they were like. Don't notice them now....apart from when I hit the deck (too often) and don't snap my wrists

Level makes a few models with a nice fitting built in wrist guard. I've had a pair that have lasted over 3 hard riding seasons. I have the fly glove. They are pretty beat but should last a mortal a decade or more. Worth the us$80.

I have dakine guards, but next time I would get gloves with built in wrist guards, makes wearing them much more compfy.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I have these as well but it was a hassle with them and my mitts.
TSA had a half price sale of gloves so got pair of Burton support mitts, basically the wrsit protector is removable, and on the outside so much better than my setup last year.
Only slight concern is that wrist guards protected the underside of wrist, but new mitts have the support on top of the wrist.......
Any informed folk out there who know why??
