If you do, Easiski will be able to advise you more if she gets back on line before then, but in previous summers....
- the main lift pass office opens 15 mins before the first lift (29€ + insurance)...
- the Jandri gondolas start at 7.30 am (but phone to check, there's a chance they might start earlier this summer...)
- by this time there are around 200+ team members already queueing, complete with prepaid lift passes.
- well worth a lesson with Easiski to walk straight past them all (and of course because she's a great teacher! 30€ per hr inc. up to 3 people. Charges from the time you arrive on the glacier.)
-alternatively you can drive to the 'Village' chair at Clos des Fonds (as you enter 2 Alpes turn left at roundabout, the village is about 1/2 a mile up). Slightly longer - Village chair, Jandri 2 téléphérique, Jandri Express 2 gondola - but less queues. Not easy to find if you've not been before though, and I'm not sure where or at what time you can pick up a lift pass at Clos des Fonds, I've always had a pass from the main office near the Jandri in the centre of 2 Alpes....

Helen Beaumont, you're talking to yourself!
I suppose it is the excitement of your coming trip. We will expect daily posts, so no trotting off to the bar first. snowHeads come first!
Conditions sound excellent. Have a great time.

Jonpim, been away for the weekend, consumed copious amounts of the vin rouge and had to catch up with what I said last week. Not sure I'll have internet access, but I'll try.

Still feel like I'm talking to myselfJonpim, but here's the report. Met up with Charlotte (Easkiski) outside Ski Extreme- an excellent small independent ski shop whose skis are well prepared. Quick change in the car before heading up the Jandri Express to the glacier. We then had a coffee to adjust to the altitude before skiing for almost 4 hours, in pleasant warm sunshine. The views were fantastic-Mont Blanc, La Grave, etc. We had some excellent tuition , correcting those bad habits, before heading back down into Les Deux Alpes to returh the skis, have lunch etc. The snow was remarkably good until near the end, when we let the teens play in the snow park, although we had to wait a while, as someone was been taken off by helicopter after a bad fall. All said, a most excellent day.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Good to hear about that Helen - I was pleasantly surprised by a day trip to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier 2 years ago, although I'm not sure I could take more than a few hours of "free skiing"! Interesting to hear the helicopter was available - that must cost the resort a bit during the summer

Alan Craggs, seemed to be a pretty bad back or neck injury-chopper was landed on the snow park itself, and cut the engines. Maybe Easiski can tell us more.
