Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Well, I have pretty much decided on which boots I am gonna have, and looking around the shops they are all the same price over here, obviously not a huge amount of competition.
So as they are a christmas gift, me dad has been lookin on the net, and has spotted them on American sites for half the price that they are over here, which is a pretty good saving obviously because of the weak dollar at the moment. But obviously you may be stung oversea's postage for import tax or whatever they do...So was thinking about buying them when I got to resort, the Canadian Dollar also being weaker than the pound.
But, I would be worried if the shop had the boots I wanted in(I could maybe email the shops before hand), if they would fit right, if something happened when I got home and they needed to be taken back(does that even happen?) or we were delayed and got there very late on our first day and had no time to get them...And other things that are probably not gonna happen.
The helmet is not such an issue, because it isn't a huge deal if I don't have one on my first day(or maybe it is?!!?)...But the guy in TSA recomended we got them out there, because of the difference in cost.
I dunno, am I adding undue stress? Is it worth it? The savings would be pretty big, and would pay for other stuff in resort.
Why pay double the price of something over here?
Any advice would be great! I'm a bit of a worrier! Laughing

ok - if youve tried them all already then size isnt an issue. id phone the store up, explain the situation and get them to make sure they have your size reserved for when you get there (remember US and UK sizes differ so make sure theyve got the right ones) and if youre late youre late. how long does it take to walk in to a shop and pay for some boots? about 5 minutes. stick em on your feet and youre good to go.

stop worrying about it and just do it. Madeye-Smiley
