Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Boot fitter recommendations

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a decent boot fitter (I'm based in Twickenham, West London ... )?

I bought new boots from Snow and Rock towards the end of last season, only had one week in them on snow, but they never felt quite right (loose heels being the main problem Sad ).

I could take 'em back to S&R for a re-fit - but in my experience it seems to be a bit hit-and-miss as to whether you get a fitter that actually knows their stuff.

Thanks in advance.....

jonflat2, I can strongly reccomend Colin Martin at www.solutions4feet.com in Bicester, well worth the drive up the M40 and if applicable there is also a huge designer outlet village in Bicester as well if you fancy some shopping.

PS. I ave no connection other than a satisfied customer and Colin is a fellow snowHead. CEM

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for the pointer.

As a matter of interest, how pricey is it to get a pair of boots re-fitted (just moved into a new house, and got to keep tabs on those pennies wink?

jonflat2, Give Colin a call and discuss pricing with him wink Suffice to say quality and your skiing comfort is not something to compromise on, is it! Very Happy

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

jonflat2, CEM is highly recommended.

However, if you don't want to travel that far, Profeet in Putney are also good - we had excellent service there for a pair of problematic feet and if you do a search here you will see others recommend them.
