Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Whistler vs Banff

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi All,

I'm looking to get out to canada for 2 weeks next year so I can finally crack this powder / off piste skiing lark.. well a day here and there when the weather is right in Europe is taking to long, so I figure Canada should give me the conditions consistantly...

So, I was looking at either Whistler, or Banff but cant decide...

Any opinions / recommendations ?

toby wright, we've been down this route before. See this long thread

As you're perhaps not so often in here Toby you might not have seen it.
No fault.

But a general point snowHeads - check out the search facility in User Facilities. Works well - e.g. if you enter Whister AND Banff you'll not only get this thread but several other relevant posts with the keywords highlighted.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

it might even have been me that posted one of the original questions on this topic. Can't remember all the reasons why - but we've decided for Whistler if you want a quick answer.
Banff/Fernie are next on the list - then maybe venture south to the States, with side trips to Europe in between...!

cheers,
I have had a go with the search facility but its not the easiest... not least as each time you back up a thread you have to 're-search'

but yes, I'll put my hand up, I should have searched first..

still not really decided, but swaying on the side of Whistler on the basis I wouldnt have to take the bus every morning... rolling eyes

try those 2 - (its easier to search if you have the answers returned as topics rather than posts)

toby wright, no problem just asking.

There is also a thread about searching which has just reawakened. See here for tips on how to make it easier to use.

Hope you can now make you mind up which resort to try ............ you may have more ideas now than you bargained for. snowHead Oh and have a look also in snowBase for links to the resorts' own web sites.
