The obvious, environmentally sensitive move would be to make a green Snowpass watch (one with a more wearable design!) FWIW the Snopass watches are excellent. Even when the resort doesn't support them, they're cheap enough that it doesn't matter if you smash it while skiing, saves wearing a decent watch

I haven't actually worn a watch for ~20 years and I'll not be wearing the SCGB SnowPants Swab. I'll probably remove the straps and pop the dial in my gloves ski pass pocket.

Frosty the Snowman, ...... sorry - only saw your post recently that you had lost it. I also have one of those cookoo watches, but discontinued using it whilst skiing, after the 'winder' stabbed my hand following a negative event on the slopes.
