Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Borovets, especially if you include the ganstas and pole dancers! Just like Blackpool with snow but no tower, or beach or arcades. So not really like Blackpool, but you know what I mean! Lots of bars, discos, drinking, dancin, cocktails, girls, kareoke, all nite beer, and sky sports. Blush

But skiing is a bit limited if you're into difficult blacks. Toofy Grin

If you come to serre che and stay in the right part its lively. Avoid monetier if you want lively as they have only one bar which is worth going to, its a very nice bar and the owners are great but that is it!

Villeneuve have the most amount of lively bars and night clubs inc La Grotte (with lots and lots of live music) Mojo's for a more sophisticated drink. The swedish bar, lots of seasonairs love this bar. and many other little french bars. 2 nightclubs, bam bam's and La baita. If you want to in Villeneueve you can go on a serious bar crawl and stay out till 6 in the morning!

Chantemerle has a few good bars too. Extreme bar is always lively and has dj's and live music. the plien sud is a great bar for good beer/wine and good company its quiet enough to be able to talk and be heard in. There is also a new bar opeining this winter called Les Bistro and its likely to be the place to go this winter. There is also 2 night clubs in Chantemerle.

There are also obviously many resteraunts in all 3 of the above and you also have Briancon for even more choice.

Just remember if you do opt for Monetier it will cost you a small fortune (40e from villeneuve whichis the closest to it) to get anywhere, which makes you stuck there or very skint. Skiing is good mind, but you didn't ask for that and its all linkable by ski or by bus, just not at night!

Another Vote for Val d'Isere, I was there in Feb and alot was going on. Aparently it's improved alot over the past few years (so I heard).

lloydey01, I reckon the main contenders are in first place Sauze d'Oulx ( shame about the recent snow record) 2nd Place Les Deux Alpes (shame about the the main run back to the resort) and 3rd Place Pas de la Casa (shame I have never had the chance to ski there -yet).

SAALBACH!

A few quotes from websites for you:

"So hectic is the après-ski in the Glemmtal Valley that it is surprising anyone can muster the strength to hit the ski slopes in the morning! Copious amounts of excellent beer and schnapps flow in the mountainside inns and village ice bars, along with some rollicking music and good-natured 'gemuchtlikheid'. Dancing on the tables is expected and drinking anthems with cries of 'prost!' echo everywhere. Most parties get going even before the ski lifts close at 4pm, in the chalets above the villages."

"Where else, except inside the Bauers Schi-Alm can you see Austrians dancing the can-can to “New York, New York,” stacked three on top of one an-other and swaying like demented totem poles?"

"The village of Saalbach is legendary for it’s off the slopes activities. The village charm of the resort is somewhat improved (or disturbed, depending on your viewpoint) by one of the most active après ski scenes in Europe. Don’t worry, however, you can ski to your hearts content, because the party is still going to be raging whenever you decide to join it."
