Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

hi does anyone know if there's a public bus from cluses to morzine, on the altibus website it seems like there is but there is no timetable and you can't book it.
how much would a taxi cost?

How are you getting to Cluses. If it is by train, take a taxi there should be one outside. Failing that contact Morzine TO and they will give you email addresses and numbers of taxis. From Geneva it is even easier as there are many taxis plying for the return journey back. A shared taxi is about €35 each way GVA to Avoriaz so a little cheaper to Morzine.

I can't help with buses, sorry, as I've never had to use them. But I suspect there's only 2-3 a day.
Your best option will depend on how many of you there are; how much kit you'll have and whether you're under time pressure.
If there's lots of you, you could arrange for a transfer company to come and get you - most of the Morzine ones will pick up from Cluses. A reliable one I've used is

If there's only a couple of you a taxi might be best. I'm pretty sure that

has taxi companies on it - but the site is down as I write this.
If there's only one of you, you don't have much kit and aren't in a rush then hitching is quite viable - although carries the usual caveat - and you may well have to get a lift over to Taninges and another one over to Morzine. I certainly stop to give lifts whenever I see people on the side of the road - and see a lot of other people doing so. Although you should, of course, think carefully about hitching from a safety point of view.
