Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

the Rockies so no point in flying all that way unless there are other things you want to do there.

My thoughts as well, the skiing on it's own is not worth flying across the pond for. Toofy Grin

Especially just for a long weekend eh! WFTH wink

jacksonhole, I would agree with what you say, and I think that self-evidently many of these resorts were not destination resorts. Abetone is small - althought if you are a petrolhead it does benefit from being an hours drive from the Galleria Ferrari at Maranello. I have only been there in the Summer.

This seemed to me to be a perfectly good bit of writing, where someone who has skied hundreds of his resorts was trying to share his perspective with those who read the Observer. I don't think snowHeads should see themselves as the target audience. I cannot understand the criticism here.

ps Jackson Hole - if you are at a loose end... snowHead - feel free to edit/extend the snowHeads wiki entry I started for your namesake

Swiller, who are you? Are you posting in good faith? Are you hiding behind a stupid name because you have an axe to grid that would become obvious to us if we knew you you were?

You'd be hard pressed to hear French in Vaujany such are the number of Brits who go there. I really thought that was taking things a bit too far.

this is true (although most of the Belgians there probably speak French wink ) but it is still a tiny resort and the number of Brits who visit there compared with, say, nearby Alpe d'Huez is also tiny
