Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Moderately competent skiier but not particularly adventurous - happy to amble down green runs but no desire to scare myself silly on anything much harder. I usually manage a couple of trips or so to the mountains each year but husband not a keen winter sports person so doesn't mind staying at home. Any venue considered - I'll worry about whether it's feasible or not later! Feel free to PM - Annie.

sledge, so far I'm off to Vermont in December, Colorado in January and California in March. All these trips I am doing alone, and all of them will have people there who have left their partners at home. If you are interested, let me know.

Oh, and welcome to snowHead

sledge, check the snowEvents section. There's a Pre-Season bash in Les Deux Alpes early November, a mid-season bash in Wengen in March and an End of Season Bash in Val Thorens in April. You're bound to find someone to ski, drink and be merry with at all 3.

.... and I'm not going to any of them Confused Laughing

sledge, Welcome to Snowheads. I can strongley recommend the EoSB. This is on 21st April in Val Thorens where there is loads of gentle skiing to be had. A huge cross section of folks, and some excellent instructors. Good value and very very social. Also lots of folks to help out with flights, transfers, ski hire etc. Click on this blue EoSB link for info on last years bash, but only read the thread until you get bored.

My name is Rakesh Mittal and I am based out of Dayton. I am the only winter sports person in my family. I also have fun on Greens rather than being too adventurous. Rarely blue, black- Not worth it....
Open to any place for ski-ing. Let me know if you are interested in the coming season starting this thanksgiving holidays itself. Rakesh

Hi Annie,
I'm of to Andorra on Boxing day for 4 nights (3 full days of skiing). Soldeu is fantastic for beginners with 3 very easy green runs that are each about 8k long. They've altered them on the piste map to blue recently, but it's the same runs so they are easy. There are lots of other blues as well. It was in the Guardian's top 10 of best beginners ski resorts recently. I'm sure I will find people to ski with of a similar ability when I get on the slopes.
