Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skiing objectives 2006/07

It is so easy to get into the intermediate plateau after 11 years skiing. This coming season I have set specific objectives for my skiing :

1. Do some proper ski lessons at every opportunity even if only for a couple of hours session
2. Spend more time on skiing off-piste and taking a lot of instruction in this area
3. Getting fit for 2 above which means starting earlier on an exercise regime
4. Ski the Valle Blanche route between Courmayeur and Chamonix
5. Do the avalanche training course we are organising for November In Richmond
6. Re-visit some resorts which I have enjoyed before, e.g Zermatt, Madonna.

So what are your objectives for 2006/07?.

Nice one hibernia.

Mine are:

1. Recover fully from last year's fall on Christmas Eve (nearly there...)
2. Lose enough weight to have a reasonable chance of skiing on, rather than ploughing through, the powder.
3. Pass my BASI 3
4. Survive my first trip to La Grave at Easter
5. To smile (even) more when I ski

To go buy Brian Tracey's Psychology of Achievement tapes (especially the Goal Setting Module), then Dr Steven R Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, followed by everything by Anthony Robbins... then chuck it all in the bin and try not applying it to my sport. Plese guys, just go for a slide. Relax. Laughing
