Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Although the DVD is for sale there seems to be a fair amount of video on the site...

Heard him when I was in the car - I'd seen the ad in DMSS but wondered how he was going to hit his target market - a bit of free advertising on the BBC obviously!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hey there

Thanks for noticing me on the radio and looking me up. Shame I didn't win the Betamax challenge, but yes you saw through me correctly, I did want to create a buzz, and nice of you to offer the linq. I was just a bit nervous about giving out the web address blatantly on a BBC quiz (a bit nervous generally). I'm in Good Housekeeping, Prima, Daily Mail Ski & Snowboarding, as well as trying to get in the shops. If any one has ideas about how to tackle the web, I love to hear them.

Happy skiing Very Happy

Great website skiday! I assume your DVD follows on in the same vein. Any newbies visiting snowHeads I would recommend they at least look at your website ( I quite want to see now the rest that's on your DVD!). Great idea to do it as narrative actually on the slopes. Good luck snowHead

Well I think skiday's site is cruel. It's full of nail biting cliff-hangers. Had first timer Chris done any fitness preparation? Just what is "the thing about ski boots"? What devastating fact was he just about to say at the end of the What you will learn clip?
How am I going to be able to sleep now? I reckon I deserve a free DVD for the stress you've caused me, Andrew.

Hi Folks

Thanks for your responses all.

Ben - The father on the front is my Belgian (nuff said) brother-in-law who is a great bloke, but sometime I despair with that 80s one piece of his. & did you clock what he has for skis!!!!!! Shocked He also never had a lesson in his life, but he can keep up with me (just) as long as don't carve at top speed.

David - While in the concept stage, everyone said what a good idea - and it is - but I'm trying to sell to people who don't know that they need this until they find themselves floundering on the snow, perhaps in the charge of an instructor with limited skills (although most are great). Sales have been slow so far so everything we can do to spread the word is good. If you know someone going for the first time - then this makes a great present.

Cathy - If you want to see what's on the rest of the DVD then why not buy one. Chapter 14 has the potential to change everyone's skiing.

Jonpim - I know your comments are light-hearted, but you do raise a serious point. I have been taking advice from marketing guru Chris Cardell's web site; www.cardellmedia.co.uk
who says 'give give give', But I am selling information. If I put too much on the site then perhaps people will think they won't need the DVD. But not enough, they won't know if I have anything worthwhile to say. So folks tell me what you think.

I am not going back to Soll/Scheffau/Ellmau to instruct this year in order to promote this DVD and other personal reasons, but I will be going for January for a holiday so if anyone out there would like some lessons in the Ski Welt in January let me know - any standard - but I specialise in the under confident skier.

I'm going to play with my Stuart Maconi Yo-yo now
