spyderjon, looking at current flight prices, and without checking too much, it is about £1500 for flight/course/accomodation. So with car hire and food/booze on top you're probably about right on your budget.

Any of you who will be attending the ESA in Aspen are likely to want to come early and/or stay a bit longer. As such, I'd like to point out "Uncle Louie"'s thread here on "Let's Go Colorado 2.5." Louie has organized get-togethers in Colorado for the past two seasons (this will be the third) in the spring. LGC 3 will be in April in Vail, but 2.5 will be immediately following the ESA Aspen event (ESA ends Thursday night, the first LGC 2.5 is Friday at Beaver Creek). Ya'll come!

Well, Mrs lbt saw the knee surgeon yesterday and got the all clear for attending ESA in january after her ACL tear last March 
This basically means the uncertainty about next season is over although it's obviously going to be a little worrying!!
