SMALLZOOKEEPER, but beware the dreaded alpine Werepig. For the six nights of the full moon it prowls the high passes looking for its lost 'lardons' and taking terrible revenge on passing artisans when it discovers that its bits have been turned into tartiflette.

like lots of grass hoppers means a good season - check
sunflowers reaching a certain hight - check
not too early snow fall - cant check yet

that is if you believe what the locals say  personallly i'll wait to see what actually happens rather than trust hearsay!

Whichever moon I am glad the portents are good I will be back to Serre Che in April I hope.
