Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi,
does anyone know when the Dutch Half Term holidays are? It seems that last year there were more Dutch people in Austria than the Germans and Austrians combined!

Germans tend to go for weekends to Austria or just a couple of days. Austrians go at the end of the season (After the main tourist season) & they also do not go to the well known resorts as they know they are being ripped-off.

The Dutch have a healthy winter sports market and pretty much go all season off course in the kids holidays its madness, just drive on the Autobahn in this period and your see Sad

I think its something like 3million ski & Austria is by far the most popular. Half of all skiers travel by road.

Austrian ski resorts like employing Dutch instructors as they have qualified in the Indoor Centres in NL & also because we are tri-lingual (Dutch,English& German) & speak French very well Very Happy

I would imagine that Germans with kids would go for a whole week in the peak season and the same with Austrians - i agree with the fact that a lot of them will go to smaller resorts though. Mind you, Zell am Ziller (where I am going), is not very well known outside of Germany and Austria, and I imagine it could get very busy Sad

I'll just have to make sure i make the first lift in the morning and the last one down in the afternoon; nothing wrong with skiing all day Toofy Grin
