Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sauze accommodation

Really struggling to get accommodation in Sauze d'Oulx next January for 6 of us. Am only getting apartments, most which are 1 bedroom and they say you can fit 6 in them, dream on! Hotels seem to ignore me or they are not taking booking yet for next season (if thats the case they need to look carefully at their business model!). Anyone got any suggestions please, names of people/hotels that I can contact please? All recommendations gratefully received!

Ski industry in Europe generally goes a little sleepy at season ending for a few weeks, many taking opportunity for break prior to summer visitors. Also many local based staff swap to another job/industry completely by season margins.

@baronofthecourt, plenty of packages but if you are hoping to diy then Sunweb will publish some options in the coming weeks. You can check the website and if you like the look of a place you are able to sign up for a notification once prices are released. As above, James from Sauzeonline kindly sent me a few hotels to check with when I asked the same question for 10 persons, though I booked a package in the end.

Try Caroline at Stella Alpina. I think she only takes bookings directly (as in, by email), so I'd contact her that way. I know she always takes some time off at the end of the season so I guess others do too. Her contact details will be on her website.

We've staying at Stella Alpina several times, some of them as part of a group of 6-8 and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Sauze.
