Have never been to Les Arcs before but considering it for Easter (03 April) 2027. Usually we go to VT or Tignes, but considering other options. Accommodation would be in Arcs 2000. What are SHs experiences of skiing there in Easter?
TIA

In a typical season there won't be much difference between those resorts in terms of snow, especially as Easter is quite early in 2027.
The week of the Easter holiday starts on 27 March 2027. On 26 March this year I was skiing boot deep fresh powder in Les Arcs, after one of the coldest days of the season. A few days later I was enjoying lunch on a sunny terrace in a lightweight jacket. You can get a bit of everything later on in the season.

Like @rob@rar, I was in La Plagne this easter - the week before, so from 28th March - and we did both la Plagne and `les Arcs and the snow was incredible, helped by nearly three days of constant snow plus a mega dump about 10 days prior. Everything was holding up well lower down, even on the hotter days.
@trmacc, I think the week you're suggesting is the start of French school holidays, although the weekend and week of actual Good Friday/ Easter Sunday seems to be UK school hols so I suspect busy nonetheless.

Skied in Les Arcs several Easters - earlier Easter will help but there is no guarantee snow will be good. I’ve had patchy at best to phenomenal
It’s quieter than Xmas and half term for sure and warmer days means pleasant drinks on a sunny terrace

And to answer the question of my experiences- always* very positive, always been snow to ski on, not crowded and lunch outside. Ski early and during lunch and stop when it gets slushy
* apart from 2011 when there was no snow - at all

@trmacc, Easter 2027 is actually the week before your planned trip , but the local school holidays do start the week you are going to be there which is more or less the same as this year.
However I wouldn’t worry too much. The French don’t tend to flock to the ski slopes at Easter. They head for the beech. Easter does attract a lot of Belgiums and Dutch but that is the week before your trip. This Easter there were a lot more British in the resort. I suppose that was because Easter was on the early side. Having said that, I imagine the resort will be relatively quiet with no lift queues and peaceful pistes. The priority lanes will be abandoned as there will be no need for them or to buy an essentials lift pass.
I’ve skied Easter in les arcs for probably the last 30 years and I’ve always had snow to ski on, even when Easter has been late (I didn’t go in 2011). Ok sometimes the snow has been a bit thin in arc 1600 but we’ve always had a good time.

Essentials Lift pass is worth it if you plan on trips to La Plagne - we were there 4-11 April this Year, so week from Easter Sunday, and Priority Lanes were still there and still had their use

@trmacc, if you happen to book via Sunweb then aside from getting the standard lift pass in with the cost of the accomodation, you can upgrade to Paradiski (for La Plagne access plus an extra half day on arrival) for under £30 for the week, which is great considering it's £30 for a day upgrade from the lift pass office

Thanks - all good advice/info. Realise it will be busy, but as said not as bad as half term!

Depends on your definition of busy I suppose.... but it won't be busy.

We've been the past 4 Easters and will go again next year and for me it's the perfect level of 'busy'...nice buzz around the resort, all the facilities open but easy to get a restaurant booking if you book a day or two ahead and there's hardly any queuing for lifts.

Indeed it will be dependent on the definition of busy.
There will be people about. Most chairs will have someone on them, but occasionally you’ll be wondering why 10 consecutive chairs are completely empty (they start a bit lower and people are staying high).
It’s hard to get the statistics but my guess based purely on some figures published by the resort some years ago is that during new year week, the busiest week of the year, the resort is at 110% capacity and under 50 during Easter (I cannot recall whether Easter was early or late that year, but I suspect it was early as a late Easter will often result in almost no one being in the resort).
Using the price my immobilier rents our apartment out for as a proxy for the number of people in the resort and removing the fixed charges then the rental was about 20% of high season rates. It’s the Immobiliers job to fix rates looking at demand. There may be more demand in 2027 with Easter being a week early but with school holidays starting on April 3 instead of 4th I really cannot see it being any different in 2027.
Remember you do need some visitors to the resort for the lifts, restaurants and bars to stay open. I was told that the reason les arcs closed this weekend was not because of lack of snow but lâck of demand. The last region goes back to school on Monday.
In summary: expect some people to be around, probably less than a quarter to a half you’d see on the peak half term weeks, expect to get straight on most lifts, don’t expect lively après ski as there won’t be many people in bars, expect a greater proportion of English people as well as other nationalities such as German and Dutch, expect spring ski conditions, be careful with sunburn.

All booked for 3rd April 2027 - Arcs 2000. Excited! Thanks for all the advice.
I saw that this year in March they had a 30% off lift pass offer for April - is this something they do every year? Looks like there might be 20% off sales in Oct time, but does anyone know if this Easter 30% offer is an annual thing?
Also anyone stayed in Chalet L'Ours (part of Chalet Altitude). Delighted that we've managed to get what looks like a really spacious 8 bedroom apartment for our group of 16

@trmacc, spot sales of lift passes cannot be forecast in advanced but you’ll loose nothing by waiting and seeing. The worse that can happen is you pay the normal price.

We had such a great time on our pre-EOSB week in Les Arcs we’re looking to do it again in 2027 or possibly based in Là Plagne.
We’re considering a chalet next year - either catered or un catered.
We’ll be between 10 and 20 people most likely.
Can anyone recommend any nice places / companies?
Ty

Thank you. I took a look at these and they looked ok right up until I read the tripadvisor reports. Hope you also saw them before booking. Best, Rick

yeah saw them, but not too worried as most of the bad reviews for L'Ours were pre 2021 when they were being run as catered chalets. Also we spoke directly to them yesterday and quite a lot of the apartments in the chalet de l'ours (inc the one we've booked) have been completely renovated.

@RickBoden, we stayed in the Balcons in Belle Plagne at Easter booked through Sunweb. It's properly ski in /ski out. The apartments were refurbished over the summer and ours was lovely. The only drawback in my view is it being in La Plagne rather than Les Arcs
