Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
Hi. Any advice gratefully received. Here for 6 days with my 2 younger boys (21 and 17). Both good skiers. Staying in St Anton in a B&B. no particular plan. Where do we want to eat, apres and more importantly ski. They are both competent on any piste and most off piste. They are also a lot fitter and stronger than me. Was in the Zillertal earlier in the week. Very springlike. So the off piste was tricky as I have no idea what the snow was like until I did. Many thanks. Ed

Do you have a time machine?
I would guess the Arlberg will be pretty similar to everywhere else across AUT/ CH corning up early doors and aspect being king.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Well yes. That was what I assumed. So any advice about where might be good mornings vs afternoons etc would be helpful. Thanks.

@Dave of the Marmottes
, also I failed to change the flux capacitor my van. Think it was a problem with the AdBlue.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

, Not been for a couple of weeks so advice might not be quite up to date. It is due to snow tomorrow so that will change things though sure spring will return in a day or two. General spring skiing advice of starting early and finish early. Rendl is often good especially as the home run is north facing. Stuben is again mostly north facing so the snow should last better. I see the high ski routes (Schindler & Mattun) are now closed so that's not so good. The red run from Schindler is pretty much always decent snow (they use it for the last day race) but the long blue lower section down to Rauz (for the Flexenbahn over to Zürs) can get messy lower down. The Kandahar black down from Galzig is usually decent until the last section which is usually (soft) moguls. Worth getting over to Zürs and Lech (less buses now though the Flexenbahn is fine if a bit slow). If the Madloch ski route to Zug is still open it is worth doing though probably best with hire skis!
Off piste - best get a guide to ferret out any decent remaining snow. Would guess (with no proper knowledge) that the runs off the top of the Valluga would still be decent but you need a guide to take skis onto the final section of the cable car.
Many of the apres spots are now shut but the Moose (Mooserwirt, just above the base station of the Galzigbahn) stays open until the end (its the best one in any case), though if tempted to have a bit of a session get a taxi home! Various bars dotted around the Galzig lift. Not sure which restaurants stay open. Thai - Skiing Buddha, next to train station for curry, various spots along Dorfstrasse not sure what will still be open, there should be no issue getting a table. Kebab and burgers opposite Nassereinbahn.
Not sure if worth asking on Arlberg thread as not sure anyone is left in the village (@stanton doesnt live there!)
