Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Famille

Does anyone have any experience using ski famille?
Thinking of taking my now 2 year old next year (he’ll be 3 when we go), he’s an only child so he won’t know anyone but he does enjoy nursery & bring around other children.
Pre-child we’ve always done skiing on a budget with self catering, so this is all new.

I used them a few years ago with my bigger children. Had a great experience and although I didn’t use the childcare myself, there was another family in the chalet who did and they had used the company for years.

They do have amazing last minute deals as well so if you can hold your nerve and especially if you aren’t stuck to school holidays, I would probably wait to book…

No experience of Ski Famille but you could also look at the Family Ski Company and Snowbizz. Snowbizz are based on self catering so more what you are used to and their chid care and Totons ski school was excellent when we used them a long time ago. They are still family run so I expect they are still very good.

I used them a good few years ago with my 2 and they were great and a real godsend as I was on my own with them. Their nanny service in the morning was great

Been with them the past 3 years. My daughter was 3 the first time we went. They're really good. The nanny service works well. At 3 she was packed in a ESF bus and taken to the separate area with the other young ones. That bus was fun as soon as one started crying they all did! Laughing Hard not to feel some guilt as they ship them off and you go skiing..... all good though. She loved all the activities they did.

I used them many years ago, but see the nannies playing with the children in Les Menuires and they all seem very happy.

Again, good few years ago now - but we used them a few times, and they were excellent. The daughter of the owner was also a ski instructor and took the kids out who wanted lessons several times.

Yes many times, they're based in my home town. Made ski holidays with younglings painless and they also had a great time too.
They're reasonable outside of school holidays I think the last time we went outside school holidays we paid around £2.5k that would quadruple in half term at that point we started to self drive and ski around kids lessons and sometimes individually now kids ski with us and we're chasing the kids.

We have used them 3 times (2023, 2025 and this season) - also with our only child. When she was aged 2, 4 and 5. It’s a great set up. She has enjoyed both the childcare and the lessons, we enjoyed the chalets and company of the other families, and most of all our adult ski time. It’s not the cheapest but deals are to be had on off peak weeks (we booked last minute outside school hols and saved a lot but you do have to be prepared to be flexible on exact resort if chalet if you do that!). They will often let you know the approx ages of other kids booked in the chalets so you can pick one with similar aged kids if that’s helpful. Happy to answer any specific questions.
