Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Feb Half Term - 2027

looking for holidays next Feb half term.

When is best to start looking for accomodation and flights?

Minimal options at the moment, with flight price sky high!

Generally - the day you get back from the previous year's Feb Half Term trip!

Different airlines open sales at different times but a lot of the 'full service' airlines do it at 364/365 days ahead with the 'budget' carriers tending to do them in blocks as the year goes on.

Accomodation is a crap shoot too. Some places will have bookings open 18 months ahead, others 12 months like full service airlines, others will complete the current season, take a couple of weeks off, then sit down and work out their pricing/availability for the following year.

Flights don't generally get cheaper so sometimes you just have to get creative and look outside the standard list of 'ski airports'. For Austria most people only thing Innsbruck and Salzburg - but neither Friedrichsafen or Munich in Germany are far away from the western Austrian Alps.

@skiphilmill, Welcome to SH

Are there any specific countries or resorts you are interested in? Likewise are you looking for hotels, chalets or self-catering?

There is no single answer unfortunately, some Tour Operators are taking bookings now, but apartments generally come online after the summer holidays.

I think your best option is to narrow down where you want to go and on which route - can then set up alerts for airlines etc,

Where are you based? If driving is an option, rather than flying, your options for destination and accommodation immediately become vastly greater. Some idea of your budget would help focus the advice you get, too.
