 Poster: A snowHead

During a recent incident where I became a little too friendly with a snowboarder, I manager to take a chunk out of the topside of one of my skis. As per the photo, is this an issue? It doesn’t seem to have gone down to anything that’s likely to be affected by the elements, but just wanted to check if I should get this looked at?

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

A little epoxy just to seal it and it'll be fine. If you don't have any to hand, some nail varnish will waterproof it at a pinch.
I suggest Hotgirl Pink, or Mango Passion.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Lovebite. I manage to take bigger chunks out of my topsheetsvall the time by myself.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I'd repair with epoxy resin to best preserve the structure and water resistant aspect.
Doesn't look bad in images, and part of using skis. Comes under typical repair and maintenance care in my view.

@Cardo, can we have a thread about your damaged ski poles next? I'm starting to wonder what the total bill for your "incident" will be.

Well, as it happens, my poles did get a little scratched. I’d be more than happy to succumb to your request.
