They’ve been available up to January for a while, but that’s as far as you could book, so this is for February onwards.

Feb 27 dates out now.
Edinburgh - Grenoble Saturday 13th Feb, 2 adults+ 23kg = £960.
No thanks, out my league. I’ll try for a late oppsie. Plenty of cheap flights either side of school holidays.

Massive price increases for Easyjet to Geneva for half term this year. If you're on early (they're already up and I know they do this so have been checking since stupid o'clock this morning), I can normally get the flights I want, out of our nearest airport, for about £120pp (some years I've had them for about £80pp). Prices at launch started for a minimum £400pp today and that was for the worst flight times, anything at reasonable times was more like £500pp.

Flight prices at launch are not the value they once were but think we can thank trump for some this.

Already £2150 for family of 4 London to Munich for and Austria trip - (12/02 to 20/02) inc luggage and skis which is ridiculous cost. I was going to book the same trip with Lufthansa a few weeks ago for £791 for 4 with luggage and skis (not sure of cost now), but we have decided to go to France instead by car!

Just had a quick look, family of four return Geneva 13-20 February 2027 shade under £3,000
One of the many reasons I drive to the Alps.

@daveqpr, Is driving to Austria that much more of a hassle/time consuming?

I'm doing this for the first time for Feb 27 due to the crazy cost! I'm a family of 6 so it was closer to £4,000!!!! Add the transfer cost of another £1k, and that £5k just to get there and back!
Looking at £1,500 max to drive it! £3,500 then goes on accomm, life pass' and ski hire! Its a no brainer!

@Gored, Not really a hell of alot longer or any more hassle for me at all. In fact we've driven to Austria for skiing about 5 or 6 times before as well as one year we drove to Selva di Val Gardena! ( but that was a long drive) - I really enjoyed the drive there and it was toll (peage) free too for the Austria trips.
The thing is that the extra 1 hour to 2 hours to Austria is just that bit too much for the kids. In fact they are already moaning about the drive to France next year!

@Roscoe, Agreed. There are downsides, the traffic is a real hassle and it's a mad rush rather than a leisurely cruise and it is a long way kids get bored etc etc. Chambery and Albertville are real pinch points. Personally I still prefer it being in control as mush as possible. I'd like to drive to Austria but the extra few hours might push kids over the edge!
Wonder if the EJ flights will drop once immediate rush is over detected by the dynamic pricing, no doubt there will be some sort of sale too. I'll still pick driving regardless.

I'll keep an eye on the EJ prices but already committed to driving having brought the Tunnel crossing.
I'm secretly looking forward to it as it's always been a itch I've wanted to scratch. Hopefully with travelling Friday and an overnight stop around Dijon, it will break the journey up a bit. An early 6am start Saturday to beat the rush up the mountain should then make it a pleasant 9/10am arrival in Les Arc 1800. Fingers crossed.

Just checked and the Lufthansa £791 flights that I nearly booked a few weeks ago are now £1462 for 4 including cases and skis. Quite an increase but still alot cheaper than easyjet release day flights.
Lufthansa book about a year in advance (give or take a few days) and seemed to be available a few days earlier on the app than the website. - heads up for feb 28 half term bookers!

Still fairly cheap from ABZ for the last week in Jan - flights before add ons are less than £80pp (Half term £400+). But timings are crap again this season - arrive GVA at 2155. Thanks but no thanks.

Wow, booked this last year HT to Zurich at £300pp inc a checked bag plus 2 ski bags between us. Maybe a bit slower off the mark but this year it’s closer to £600pp!
The price for EJ next year is what BA cost 2 years ago. This year BA is over £1000pp.
Absolute crazy prices. May well stop going at half term if this continues!
