Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi, I'm thinking about doing a 8 - 10 week work away (ie work and ski) in the 26/27.
At the moment we're considering L2A, it is a familiar resort and we like the vibe there.
We fancy potentially ringing the changes and have been looking at Serre Chevalier and like what we've seen so far.
We've not actually been there so looking for sense of whether Serre Chevalier would be good for this length of stay, any thoughts?
Also, is there any good sites listing longer term accommodation or stick with VRBO/Abritel?
Thanks, RobJ.

Which weeks?
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Mid-Jan 27 to mid-March 27 would be our core weeks - depending on research we might go earlier, stay longer or both

@RoboJ
, is there a reason you're looking specifically at France? I ask as of your 8-10 trip, virtually half of it will be French school holidays, and will be busy.
If you looked somewhere different Austria or Italy perhaps, then that will be less of an issue.
You also need to consider (or blissfully ignore) the tax/visa issues of working while abroad.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

A big ski domain on our doorstep felt like the best way to make use of our daily working model. ie skiing mornings and weekends, work the rest.
From conversations I've had it sounds like Austria really shines when you have a central base and can drive to resorts. This makes grabbing an hour or two a bit more challenging, but happy to be wrong on that.
My experience of Italy is limited to

so hadn't considered it, but worth a look. Thanks for the suggestion.
