What's the deal in France ?
Does the Tooth Fairy still come ?
Does she leave pounds or Euros ?
And what's the French Fairy's going rate ?
At home she only leaves a pound and today that was two 50 pence pieces and weirdly she forgot to take the tooth. Not something that has happened before when mum was home.
Away in two weeks and still a couple of wobbly ones in there

You can set your phone to stay on UK time and mythology. Works well at Christmas too. And if tooth left behind, another night will probably
yield another pound.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Neville, the French tooth Fairy is a mouse- 'La Petite Souris' - and leaves money too. If your little one would like to buy something while on holiday by all means they should leave Euros, possibly as it is a holiday 2€ would be acceptable.

Father Christmas was always late when we skied at Xmas, he found the bite at home so moved us too last drop. Kids were always out at ski school then - strange but convenient

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Tooth fairy stuff is small and goes under a pillow, wherever you are. I think the french alternative would be fun and also educational .

I love the French version - the little mouse. It makes me think of Angelina Ballerina! I think a 2€ coin is an excellent idea.

This family's tooth fairy finds the teeth wherever they are in the world. So long as they are tucked under a pillow the tooth will be swapped for a monetary present. However, said fairy can and does get confused and forgetful, and may not find the tooth on the first night, and may not always leave the same sum of money, or in the same currency. Our fairy operated in a somewhat lackadaisical manner when I was a child, continued to operate in that way for my own children, wherever we may have been, and now does so for my eldest grandchildren in the USA, and no doubt will also do so my younger grandchildren living in Europe and the UK.
