Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mountain Guides, Courchevel

Last year I was in Whistler and they had free mountain guides on the slopes daily to show you around the different runs, advice, etc , It was really great for the first couple of days due to the expanse of the place but was wondering if anyone knows of anything similar in Courchevel , I am arriving Sunday , thank you Eh oh! ️ Eh oh! Eh oh!

Short answer: No

There is a very long answer about ski hosts, how they are now banned, the rights and wrongs of it, ESF's influence etc but the answer is still no. Also Mountain Guide normally means off piste guide IFMGA or equivalent and do not work for free in any resort

Although the ski club of great Britain has found a way of complying with the rules but they start their day in Meribel, not Courchevel, and you presumably have to be a member to use them

swskier - Laughing no my lift passes were not that expensive to be honest if you get an Epic pass and buy it early, Also if you book way in advance, hotels, flights etc doesn't work out much more than Europe. The jet lag and temperature of -20+ some days can ruin the experience Madeye-Smiley though so will be sticking with Europe from now on

You'd have to be stupid to pay the headline walk up rate; no one does that. That's not what it's for.
