Lovely to see. What a fit dog.
I'm hoping we get to ski trees like those in March. We've got a week's family skiing followed by a week's guiding with Gavin.
If you're around in the middle two weeks of March maybe we'll get a chance to say hello.

@abc, with a GoPro 360 mounted to the ski pole.
@valais2, he still feigns the occasional limp, but we think he does that for sympathy and a treat
What I didn't mention as we were nearing the transition point was that we heard a massive roar, at first you think it's a jet above, but I've heard them before and this was close and, unlike a passing jet lasted a good 90 secs or more, and your sphincter goes into instant overdrive, and I was looking at the various couloir chutes in the mountain side above to see any immediate avalanche activity, and knew it was huge from the sound.
I shouted at the OH to stay where she was, away from where a slide would come down, whilst I was in the middle of the glade (that's why its a glade) with numerous tree stumps from previous slides, though usually there they are wet snow slides, that said a Brit skier from Jersy was killed very close to here when a slab crashed off the ridge in 2019 and on that day it was only a 1 out of 5 day!
That's why often the safer routes are to climb in the trees, where you are not so exposed.

Southern Alps for the win!
Absolutely love the tree skiing at Monetier. Serre Chevalier a brilliant spot for storm skiing. Especially after a big "retour d'est"

 You know it makes sense.

Where are the best tree lines at Serre Chevalier??
