Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi
Looking for current recommendations as above.
Have used profeet successfully in the past, but a long time ago.

There are many, quite recent threads on this topic, suggest you search.

Profeet still come highly recommended. Ski Exchange Cambridge might be closer for you.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Can recommend Ski Bartlett. £50 fitting fee IIRC with unlimited further adjustments for a year if required. You need to book.

Lots of measurements / questions, took their time and got me into a size smaller boot but high volume shape. Heel risers to deal with my lack of flex, footbeds and a minor shell stretch in the right toe box. Been on two trips and they're spot on. I don't think I have particularly 'problem' feet though.

Got mine fitted by Skee-tex in Battlesbridge, near Wickford. Did a very good job.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Fluid Lines in Colchester offers boot fitting; no first hand experience of this service but I’ve bought plenty of stuff from the shop.
Another recommendation for Ski Exchange in Dry Drayton near Cambridge, who I have used for boot fitting and retro-fitting, if this isn’t too far afield.

Dave and co at FluidLines, Peartree Centre Stanway, Colchester. Really professional service from very knowledgeable staff. My boots have been great and we have sent many friends along to them ever since - all have had a positive experience.

+1 from me on the recommendation re: Ski Bartlett. Quality place. Had some boots fitted there recently, great experience. Not skied much on the new boots yet (a bit at Snow Centre Hemel) but so far so good.

 You know it makes sense.

I found with Profeet that if you're east and outside zones 1/2 is that it's quite a hassle getting back in for adjustments and having to lug your boots across central London. Unless you're that side of London then I'd probably opt for something more convenient.
