Amo.g the chaos of moving a 5 aside team of kids we left a wee cabin case at Gernoble this morning. It's in lost property but we are in ADH now. What's the best recover method for me ?
We gave return booked with bens bus so is getting it popped on a bus on Sunday option? I have emailed but no reply.
It's got gear for kids that was spread out over 5 cases in case of theft or delay and its actually their thermals.
Any ideas or am I going to pay for a very expensive oversight.
Ps it appears every school and college has appeared today, 3 schools on our flight and tons of 6thform French appearing in bus loads lol

Perhaps call some Grenoble taxi companies and see if any of them are doing a pick up at Grenoble airport tomorrow, and if yes could they message their customer and ask them to pick up the case before they exit the airport.
Tell them there's a bottle of wine waiting for them if they can help you out
I think these are the flights due in tomorrow .. mostly from the UK. Hope this helps.

Bottle of wine? I’d have thought folding stuff, and a decent quantity too. Somebody is going to have to go to the lost property which I am sure will be joyous for them.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Does the lost property department in Grenoble not offer a delivery service?
You wouldn't be the first person to leave something behind and have trouble returning to collect it.

If I was arriving at Grenoble tomorrow, and heading to ADH, and knew that by spending 10-15 minutes at lost property would really help out some kids, then a bottle of wine would be enough reward. It's a tiny airport .. I don't imagine there's going to be a massive queue, although I've never had to collect something from airport lost property, so maybe it's a much bigger hassle than I realize??

We spoke to LP and they said no unless it was missing in transit. Waiting on bens bus getting back to me. Happy to pay for a seat.

If Bens buses say "no", then the only other thing I can think of (short of you doing a round trip to the airport with bens buses yourself), is to google the 5 star hotels in ADH, as some of these may do "guest collection" services (from Grenoble Airport to the Hotel) .. so (for a fee) they may be willing to take the time to go into the airport and bring your suitcase to the hotel when they are collecting their guests tomorrow.

If there is an ADH visionaries facebook page post on there, someone will most likely be passing/picking up from the airport

Best check with lost property what authority/ID anybody else might need to collect the case.
As an example, I lost a car key on an EJ flight to Venice a few years ago. They sent it to Venice lost property, and (If I'd known and contacted them earlier, could have collected it myself on the way home.)
They don't do a courier service, but put me on to a local one. They had to send me paperwork to sign and send back before lost property could release it.
Cost £40, and took a week, but that's way cheaper then a new key to be paired with the chip (£240).
Thankfully, the car was at home and not the airport.

it does sound odd to have and unknown pick up a case at the airport...
"is this your bag sir, what is in it, who are you picking up for ..." etc

I’d cheerily do it for nothing. The folding stuff is for the staff who will make this happen.

So we recovered the rouge bag thanks to Mark at Alp express who was in Gernoble and said he would pick it up and bens bus rep Penny did offer to give the bag to the driver today but we had already agreed deal with Mark.

Just had something similar on Ben's Bus. My tablet, biometric etc protected, remained on the bus when I left it late pm 4 Jan. It was found and retained by the driver. A cunning plan to return it to GVA BB desk on Sat 10 Jan at the driver's next BB trip was thwarted by the severe snow storm on the day. I arrived GVA mid am Sat 17 to fly back to UK and still no tablet at BB GVA desk in arrivals. Just as my carry on luggage was going through the security scanner, my phone rang. And on leaving security, an email with news that tablet was now at BB desk. I was able to leave the departure area and scoot back to the BB desk and retrieve it. And then had to do security all over again. Nick of time and phew.
