How do people protect the visor from being scratched.
I’m currently in Tignes and my Brother has bought a Bolle Visor Helmet to get over the usual glasses problem. So….
1. Can I get a screen protector like for goggles, only bigger? Is there enough grip on the sides to hold it in place?
2. How easy is it to remove the visor and can you get a protective case for it?
Thanks for any input from visor wearers, especially Bolle owners.

Some of them come with a cover, like a goggle cover but with elastic bands on. Daughters salmon one had one in box, wifes bolle didn't. Expect you can buy them, looks like I also need a Bolle ine, thanks for reminding me.

Thanks for the help.
Is there enough to grip onto at the the sides, as the Bolle has fairly flat hinges?
Do all covers fit all visors?

I was in a gondola with a young girl ski instructor and 3 minis on new year's day and had that repeated in every germanic language accent all the way up. Doubt you will see much with it still on though

@Old Fartbag, wait until it arrives and I will let you know how it fits if you want, all the visors look the same with bolle apart from the new ones with concealed hinges.

@Old Fartbag, If you have any old soft helmet bag to use just for the visor, that would work well. In transit, a light wrap of cling film will work too.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

We have one which have elastic stap that goes all the way around the helmet. Just buy them in any old ski shop.

The issue is that my wife wears it up with sunglasses most of the time and ends up getting hit by the lift bar while messing about with backpack or kids so she needs to have it on while wearing sunglasses really.

Is there anyone who wears these or the goggle equivalent when they're in the "down" position?

in transit the visor can be removed and placed inside the rear of the helmet. That's the safest way to travel with them.

@Smokies and Wine, that's what I thought until the last comment, hard to tell in text sometimes. No hard feelings I hope

There are products sold, as example a "WPF" windscreen protector film, that's optically good and works with wipers etc. Searches show you can buy that in smaller panel sizes that may just be suitable.
I've seen it used on expensive car windscreen applications, that to avoid stone strike eventualities, which looks effective. Presumably, it can be peeled and replaced if compromised.
